Hi there!
Welcome to my destination. Destination… Home. A place in space and time where it is possible for me to share my ideas and findings about food with fellow food enthusiasts! This blog will provide you with recipes and information about the local cuisine of countries across Europe. At least, that is what this blog is inspiring to be in the upcoming 12 months.
I came up with the idea to start a blog after watching a video of Brian Tracy. This gentleman talks about personal development and how to achieve your goals faster and easier than you ever imagined. My list counts many goals so I was really interested how I could achieve them fast and easy. Wouldn’t you?
He suggested writing down each and every single goal and how much time you would need to accomplish it. So I started thinking about the things I would really like to do and came up with several ideas like;
· Cook more different kinds of food
· Travel and see the world
· Learn to use our camera
· Getting married
· Have children
· Buy a house
· Starting up my own business
· And many, many more
And no, it's not that I don't know how to switch the camera on. But there is a difference between a picture that a take and a picture that makes you stop and stare. You know, just like Saveurs 2013 best photography winner Vanesse Rees from vkreesphotography.com. Wow! That girl can seriously shoot some photos..
I decided to give myself 12 months to achieve three goals. The first one is getting to know my Nikon D5100. If I'm comfortable with the camera and my ability to work with it, it's time to start the second goal. Expanding my culinary knowledge. This will be done by traveling through Europe and get acquainted with the authentic cuisine of several countries. Visiting restaurants big and small. But not only the restaurants will be reviewed. Oh no, I want to know the chefs responsible for the dishes and get to know where they get there inspiration from. Moreover, I would love to see where all the produce is coming from. Put on your working shoes we are going to visit farmers, butchers and millers!! The last and final goal ofcourse will be recreating and cooking the dishes I have encountered on my journeys. And I promise that I'm going to share them with you!
Care to join me on this culinary adventure for the coming 12 months?
